It is safe to say that every shop needs a Dave. Dave, is one of those versatile employees that knows the collision repair trade inside-and-out for cars, trucks and RVs. Dave, has acquired his skill set by working in the automotive industry since 1986. Born in the Phoenix valley, Dave, is a native and began his career in high school, wrenching on cars in his spare time. His father was always working on cars, and automotive repair originally started as a hobby for Dave. A member of the ROTC program at his high school, and an aviation enthusiast, Dave had originally planned on going into the Air Force after high school. Due to an unforeseen event, he was not able to join the Air Force and instead transitioned into his profession as a master of many automotive trades. Today, Dave is very happy to be working at Ultimate Collision. Ultimate Collision is the first shop in his professional career where he enjoys waking up every day and going work.

Dave has had the opportunity to work on lots of Cars and Trucks over the years. His favorite project was re-painting his Father’s 1966 Ford F100 short bed truck. The truck was originally a tangerine orange color and was in dire need of a restoration. Dave restored the truck for his father and painted the truck an “orange crate” color that was inspired by a 1960’s Schwinn bicycle. This custom paint color was mixed by Ultimate Collision specifically for that truck. When Dave is not working on cars, he enjoys spending time with his wife Cynthia and working with his church. Dave is involved with the Wounded Warriors foundation and one of his favorite ways to spend time outside the shop is taking members of the Wounded Warriors on fishing trips and getting out in nature.

At Ultimate Collision, we love making our customers happy. One of the ways we are able to make, and keep our customers happy is by hiring the right people. Yesenia is one of those employees who goes above, and beyond to make sure that every customer is taken care of the moment they walk through our door. She is originally from Los Angeles, California and moved to Arizona in 1998. Prior to joining the Ultimate Collision team, Yesenia worked in multiple fields including food and beverage, retail and insurance.

Yesenia entered the collision repair field eight years ago and has worked for a few different collision repair centers in the valley. She has been with our shop since we opened our doors and has been a key player in helping our company grow. She knows the repair process inside-and-out and helps manage the office portion of repairs from start to finish. When asked what she likes about working for our shop, she says “my favorite part about working for Ultimate Collision is that everyone is cared for equally, and the shop feels like one big extended family.” When not at the shop, Yesenia’s favorite pastime is baseball. She has an 11-year-old son on a traveling baseball team, and loves watching his games. Being from LA, she is an avid LA Dodgers fan and her favorite time of the year is baseball season.

When customers need to speak to someone who has industry knowledge and experience, they are directed to Michael H. Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Michael moved to Phoenix shortly after high school when his parents relocated to Phoenix for work. He started his career in collision repair in his early 20s and has had the opportunity to work in multiple different areas of collision repair. Michael came to our shop from ABC Nissan where he was in small claims collision repair, used car reconditioning, auto appraising, and estimating. Having experience in hands on collision repair, and experience behind a desk working with insurance companies and customers make Michael a great asset to our team.

Michael appreciates the family atmosphere at Ultimate Collision and the feeling of being part of a team and not just an employee. On the weekends, Michael can be found enjoying the outdoors on his road bike going for a 40-45 mile ride along the New River Trail, or mountain biking around Squaw Peak. When he is kicking back and relaxing, he is spending time with his wife and four dogs.

There is no shortage of talented employees here at UCRVAZ, and one of the most talented is lead automotive technician Kevin Q. Known for being a master of many trades, Kevin excels at plastic, aluminum and structural repair and has been in the industry since his early 20s. Originally from Vallejo, CA. Kevin moved to Phoenix in 2010 looking to further his career in the collision repair business. He has worked his way up the ladder for multiple collision repair shops and dealerships. Currently, he is a lead technician here at UCRVAZ tackling some of the more difficult and complicated repairs.

Kevin loves working with his hands and is always looking for a new challenge. He loves to prove that the impossible, is possible with the right tools and knowledge base. He enjoys mentoring fellow technicians and telling them, “There is no such thing as a dumb question” and “Repair every vehicle as if your mother will be behind the wheel”. In his free time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys four wheeling, grilling and camping. He can also be found woodworking or under the hood of his V-8 Toyota 4Runner project. If Kevin Q. ever works on your vehicle, it will be repaired to the highest standard.
